Hemant Nepal facilitated a two-day cooperative training for managers and board (BOD) members of cooperatives in Sandakpur Rural Municipality, Ilam. Around 30 cooperatives took part. The program was organised by the Cooperative Division of Sandakpur Rural Municipality.

What the training covered
The first focus was registration with the National Cooperative Regulatory Authority (NCRA): what the requirement means for local cooperatives, what records and documents are needed, and how boards and managers can share the work.
The second focus was savings and credit: the day-to-day practices that keep a savings and credit cooperative sound, and the questions board members should ask when they review lending and member savings.
